Process: The magic of plant dyes is that very subtle factors, such as seasons and temperatures, affect the tones and shades of the colors that are derived from plant materials, thus each dye-bath, although using the same materials, varies slightly. This results in the creation of one of a kind, unique pieces, with colors not always exactly as shown. With a passion for natural dyes, Leah takes great pride in creating high quality heirloom quilts. The design is quilted with a free-motion, hand-guided quilting machine.
Washing Instructions: Do not dry clean. Machine wash on a gentle cycle, in cold water with a mild detergent. Handle carefully when wet; do not wring. Lay flat to dry, or tumble-dry on low to create a crinkly, antique look.
Quilt Care: Avoid direct sunlight. Natural dyes may soften with washings, adding an antique appeal to quilts. To store, use cloth rather than a plastic bag.
